The Present Perfective Paradox across Languages
PhD book cover design

Proposal for doctoral thesis by Astrid De Wit. The subject – the present perfective paradox across languages – deals with time, viewpoint and perspective; this is reflected in the use of '3D' rectangles and the playful position of the typography.

Another proposal for Astrid focussed on perspective and used a more simple and straightforward design. This is more in line with the design conventions of academic literature and that's the reason why Astrid chose this route.
Front/back covers and spine. Astrid chose to go with this proposal because the minimal and straightforward design is more in line with the design conventions of acaemic literature. She likes autumny colours.
